The state of Georgia issued new rules and guidelines regarding Covid 19.
In Those guidelines, Summer Camps were specifically addressed. Anyone (Staff/Employee/Camper) attending an overnight camp must have had a Negative Covid 19 test in the last 12 days. Also, certain states are now saying if you go to the State of Georgia, you have to quarantine for the next 14 days.
We feel these expectations and to ensure everyone’s safety we must postpone getting together. You have no idea how much this breaks our hearts, but we feel we must comply and that these requirements make it impossible for us to gather on August 7th.
We have tentatively scheduled a retreat at the same place on November 6-8. Same cost, etc…. As things progress, we will reopen registration. All registrations received through today have been canceled already so there is nothing you need to do.
We have already processed some refunds. If you have written a check, it has been held and not deposited so we can void it and shred it if you so wish.
Here are your options:
Request a refund by texting Diann Byrd at 865-947-7654. Text her the amount you paid, the date you paid it and how you paid it so she can easily find it and issue a refund. This may sound like a lot but we had not yet begun applying payments so it could be that it is still in our paypal or venmo accounts and it’s as easy as clicking a button.
We can hold your amount to apply to either the Nov retreat or apply to camp next year.
We can always use camp donations, or we can send it as a donation to our Awana Missionary and camp pastor – Hunter Williams.
Please include your student’s name in the text and which option you choose.
Again, we are praying for the day we can all be together again safely. Our hearts are hurting with you.
